Gwynflex And Pygmalion News Posted by wmull on Sunday, January 28, 2001
Our own Gwynhala has updated the Shrine of the Ovum with the following news on his Gwynflex and Pygmalion animation tools:Whew! It's been a while since I updated the Shrine of the Ovum. You'll find the latest version of Gwynflex (Version B17) right here. This version adds many new features that you can find on the menus, including the ability to change the assignments of bones to mesh nodes when exporting your model. Release notes are included.
I've also released a new version of the GwynFlex motion capture data, that finally fixes the twisting problem in the left upper leg. Many thanks to long-time Gwynflex user and beta tester Zonk for his help finding the source of this problem!
This will be one of the last releases of Gwynflex. I'm replacing it with Pygmalion, a new animation tool that supports Heretic II and also Human Head Studios' Rune. All of the user-defined skeleton and motion capture features that were planned for Gwynflex, will be going into Pygmalion instead.
You can always find the latest version of Pygmalion, and Pygmalion news, on the new RigFolk site.
