-CLOUD FORTRESS-![]() Jump to a Level in the Cloud Fortress
![]() Getting inside: Go left into the open area with hanging Ogles (Shot 1), go under them into the next room and take the lift up to the top. Go forward into the room with the lava pit, use both shrines, go through the hallway right and ride the lift to another room lined in red and throw the switch (Shot 2) on the back wall. This will open a door in the lava pit room. Return to door, beware the fire, into the prison with locked cages. Continue into the room with a grill over lava and take the lift directly across up to the room with the Light of Seraph Shrine and a cage in the center. Walk over and push the button and the cage will lower, jump on the top of the cage when it is below you and ride it up (Shot 3). Walk up the stepos to a pair of switches and throw them both, opening the cages, then use the Silver Armor Shrine, climb to the ledge and jump to the chain, then to the other ledge with goods. Drop down to the cell area and approach the open cell on the left and talk to the dying prisoner. He will give you the Dungeon Key. Roll into the crack left of his bed (Shot 4) and into a large room. Walk to the caged arch to your right and throw the switch to open it, then return to the crack and climb either staircase to an area where you hear thumping. Follow the hallway around to the lava grate and climb to the ledge above to see the thumpers. Walk through easily by walking against the first pillar when it has dropped, then press forward and hold it down until you're through. Cross the beam to the silver door (Shot 5) and go through to another door to the next level, The Cloud Fortress, to deactivate/close the First Three Tomes. ![]() ![]() ![]()
![]() Start the sequence: Before going up the staircase, look at the ceiling and shoot a fireball at the blue button. This will lower the staircase and reveal a secret (Shot 1). Climb up where the staircase lowered and continue to a tall door with a symbol on it (Shot 2). In this room, climb the ledges and beams for a Light of Seraph Shrine and goods. Go through the giant door into a cavern area and follow a ramp up, outdoors to an entrance overlooking a dropoff (Shot 3). Enter the fortress and pass the giant statues into a room with arched windows and a fire burning ahead. Enter the room where the chandelier falls and breaks the table, go forward into another room with steel arches and a stairway running up the left wall (Shot 4). Grab the mana under the arches and go upstairs, through a hall to a Gold Armor Shrine, continue up a small set of stairs into a large room. Go to the large door (Shot 5) and use the Dungeon Key to enter the next level, Morcalavin's Inner Sanctum. Come to the large barred door and go left through the open arch (Shot 6), upstairs past the three busts to a statue ambush into the first lab. Go forward through the door to the next level, Cloud Fortress Labs. Take the archway to your left to an area where a wooden ramp leads down, go throw the switch in the lab area (Shot 7) and ride the lift to the top, hopping to grab the ledge before the lift lowers. Use the Spirit Shrine and press the button to close the First Tome. Ride the lift down and take the archway at the base of the wooden ramp into another lab. Go up the steps to the left into another lab with a giant pair of pincers and a spike. Go up the stairs, around into another lab, arriving into a room with a large water tank in the center (Shot 8). Go around the room to the switch and throw it to open a previously locked door in the lower lab. Jump in the tank to get the Hellorb, then return through the opened door and use the shrine, then go right into the boiler room, hop down (see the furnace burning?) (Shot 9), take the exit to the left and take the lift up to an area where a large gear moves. Go up the wooden staircase to the switch and throw it, then walk through the door beside the switch, going left to return to the furnace area. Hop down again, then climb into where the furnace fires were burning and push the switch to close the Second Tome. Use the Mana Shrine and ride the lift around the furnace to the top and go straight ahead at the exit to the stairs leading up (Shot 10). Come into a room where a spike is over a slab, throw the switch nearby (Shot 11) to slide the slab back and reveal a button. Walk over the button to close the Third Tome and open the main exit. Leave through the small square hole where the wooden doors opened, jumping into the water (Shot 12), then climb out and follow the halls, through the lab to the room with the lift. Go up the wooden ramp, continuing to the start of the level. Go through the door you opened to the next level, The Cloud Fortress' upper level, where you will deactivate/close the remaining Three Tomes. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
![]() Unlocking Morcalavin's Inner Sanctum: Go straight through the arch, around the hallway to the Reflective Shrine, then outside (Shot 1), through the other door into a fire trap, use the Spirit Shrine, then follow the hall to another door leading out to the ledge opposite where you started (Shot 2). Continue into the next door into the next level, Cloud Living Quarters. Go forward to the two archways, one leading up left, one leading down right. Take the left way, upstairs, then down into a long hall where you are attacked from above (Shot 3). Go forward to the hall with the broken wall to your right, but go left to the door, enter a dining room with a fireplace (Shot 4). Take the archway right, down a circular staircase to a dark area where a box breaks open with rats. Climb the boxes into the ceiling hole for goods. Go left, past the wall that breaks out, to the shrine, then take the lift to a room where a giant cauldron is suspended (Shot 5). Walk to the switch between the boxes under the shelf and throw it to open an archway and reveal the button over the fireplace. Walk into the dining room and jump to the button, pressing it to close the Fourth Tome. Leave the dining area and go to the broken wall, jump into the hole (Shot 6) and go straight from the stairs to another set of stairs on the left, going all the way up to an area with three archways (Shot 7). Go to the last archway on the left and walk on the ledge toward the dragon statue to get goods, then keep going around the opposite ledge to use the Spirit Shrine, then return to the center arch with the steps and go get the Fortress Key. Return downstairs to the hole in the ceiling where you dropped down and take the other staircase right, up to the door. Unlock the Fortress door with your key and enter. Break the barrels for goods, go up the staircase into another dining room, take the stairs left, over the ledge, going past the red-carpeted stairs to a bedroom (Shot 8). Climb on the bed and ride it down to find a giant secret area. DO NOT jump off the bed as you ride up or you will get stuck in the secret room! Return to the red-carpeted stairs and climb them to a lift (Shot 9), riding it to a room above, then climb the stairs and push the button to close the Fifth Tome. Walk downstairs, go straight up the stairs to a Light of the Seraph Shrine, then climb the bookshelves (Shot 10) to the switch up high and throw it to slide back one of the cases. Enter the hidden case, down the steps to a dark library, enter the next room with a chained lift that rises to a button. Ride the lift and push the button to close the Sixth and final Tome. Jump down to the floor and follow it around to an entrance right of the Gold Armor Shrine. Follow the narrow stairs around the square column to the bottom, break out the glass in the column's bottom to get the flask (Shot 11), then continue into an ambush to a door. Go through the door up steps to the level's beginning and exit, returning to The Cloud Fortress. Jump off the ledge and go through the giant doors at the end of the broken table (Shot 12), going upstairs and around left (right is a revealed Teleportation area that beams you back to the start). Come to the large door (Shot 13) leading to the next level where you will take on Morcalavin himself, back at Morcalavin's Inner Sanctum. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
![]() No He Won't Die, He's Immortal: Go left and climb the steps, taking the first door on the right at the top of the steps (Shot 1) and step inside to listen to the Tome's whispered comments. Leave and go right, follow the hallway to the next room where a previously barred archway is now open (Shot 2). Enter and use the three shrines to expose two switches (Shot 3). Throw the switches to open the main gate (Shot 4) and rise a Teleportaion field (Shot 5). Take the Teleportation field to meet the mighty Morcalavin. He cannot die. To defeat him, shoot him after he stops blabbering and wait until the fighting starts. Tome up and wear him down, using the Mana Shrine as often as needed. When he's getting low on life, get on the ramp leading up to the tomes and give Big M those final few shots, then race across the tomes to the open one and use your own precious Tome to complete the sequence.
